We love Dogwood and are delighted to have been their very first customer when they opened in July 2001. Orion is a Rhodesian Ridgeback who needed to burn off some puppy energy. I had visited several Day Care facilities and walked out of some in tears because I couldn't imagine leaving my dog in such unsupervised squalor and non-stop barking. When I saw the Dogwood sign, our lives changed for the better. Years later, I continue to be impressed with the level of care my dog receives at Dogwood. The yard and the playrooms are always spotless. Their indoor/outdoor setup is the best I've seen. It just makes sense that dogs should be able to run and play outside and I love that Orion never comes home smelling like he's been at a kennel. I also appreciate that it's very quiet at Dogwood whenever I'm there. Kate and Mick are dedicated to keeping the dogs happy, comfortable and safe so I know my dog is well cared for. Dogwood has made both our lives so much better.

That's why collies come to you!!!
As a volunteer for Southland Collie Rescue, I have several collies (some past, some present) that have enjoyed the TLC of Dogwood. I do confess to feeling a bit wistful whenever I drop a dog off there, not because I worry about them, but because I know they are going to have a great time playing all day and I wish I could stay and play too!
Having Dogwood in my life also got rid of any guilt feelings I used to have when I went on vacation. I know now that when I go on vacation, my dogs are on vacation at the best facility, which also happens to be close to LAX.
Rescue dogs sometimes come with special problems. I had one collie that was very shy, and going to Dogwood worked wonders for her. Often I have older dogs in my care, and have been truly touched by the love and concern shown by the Dogwood management and staff towards my old-timers.
In my next life, I'm coming back as a Dogwood Dog!

When I discovered Dogwood, I felt as if I found a miracle! Dogwood is so clean and calm, I almost forgot I was at a doggie Day Care facility. The experiences I've had at the other doggie Day Care places has not been so wonderful. I am extremely overprotective of my dog, Sawyer. For me to find a place that not only Sawyer is happy at, but I too can feel calm and comfortable at, is like a boulder lifted off my shoulders! They definitely have their rules at Dogwood, but that's another reason I feel assured that my dog will have a stress-free, calm, fun and safe day without me.

Dogwood is great. I've been taking my dog, Duke, to to Dogwood. He is a street dog who was rather stressed when I found him two years ago. Dogwood has a very family feel to it. The dogs are loved and well taken care of while they visit there. Duke is always excited when we turn the corner to go there and calm and tired when I pick him up. I've taken my dog to other places where there are so many dogs running around that it makes me nervous. At Dogwood everything is in control and the dogs are well looked after. My dog also stays at Dogwood when I go out of town. I know Duke's having fun and is well taken care of at Dogwood, which makes me feel a whole lot better. I highly recommend Dogwood and so does my dog.

We would highly recommend Dogwood Day Care & Boarding to any family that considers their dog to be part of their family. We looked at many facilities and Dogwood was not only exceptionally clean but it had plenty of space for our dog, Ziggy, to run around with other dogs not only inside but outside too. Ziggy practically jumps out the car window when he realizes he is going to play for day at Dogwood.
We are so lucky to have found a place where Ziggy feels he has a second home.

We looked at every doggie Day Care in LA, and there was no contest....Dogwood far surpasses any others. Dogwood is the only place we'd would trust to take care of our dog, Zeus - from the cleanliness of the grounds to the attention that is given to our dog each day. Their facility is spotless, with indoor AND outdoor facilities (so the dogs are never cooped up). We truly have the piece of mind that our dog is being well-cared for every day as if he was with us. Zeus loves going there -- he comes home at night happy with a spring in his step, and goes back with a wagging tail when he sees Kate & Mick. It's obvious that Dogwood's owners take care of the dogs as if they were their own and it shows cause Zeus can't wait to go back each day. We can't say enough about Dogwood -- don't know what we would have done had we not found it.
